London 2012 Olympic Stadium
The flagship venue of 2012 Olympics ,the Olympic stadium is located in Stratford, London. The stadium will provide a seating capacity of 80,000. The construction was completed in march 2011, well within the scheduled time.
After the Olympics, it will be home to West Ham United club. There was a bidding war between Premier League football clubs West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur for the stadium. Finally, it was awarded to West Ham, who promised to retain the athletics track.

The Olympic Park consists of the Olympic stadium, Aquatics centre, Velodrome, Handball and Basketball arena and many more structures, between many waterways and gardens.
Anish Kapoor sculpture taking shape
London Olympic venue will also have a huge piece of art among its many permanent structures. The steel tower known as ArcelorMittal Orbit is designed by artist Anish Kapoor. It will also have a viewing deck on top of the steel spirals, where the public can get panoramic views of the park and nearby areas. The proposed structure in its complete form can be seen here.
