Braving the Snow
It has been snowing hard in the UK for past couple of days. These wood pigeons in our backyard did not have anywhere warmer to go.
So they just puffed up and braved the snow and cold.

Olympic welcome
I am sorting out some of the London 2012 Olympics images. They are two weeks overdue now. I think it is better posting them later than never doing it. So, I am going to post a few of those shots in coming days.
What better images to start than the shots of cheery welcome everybody received at the Olympic venues. The best part of London 2012 was the numerous smiley volunteers who were too happy to help. The whole experience was more enjoyable because of them.

Did I mention the very cheerful policemen?

India@Olympics Boxing
Indian Boxer Vikas Krishan fighting American Errol Spence at London 2012 Olympics boxing event yesterday night. He won 13–11 but the victory was overturned later because of an appeal from his rival and he is now out of the competition. It is really unfortunate for India. Vikas fought very well and it was great to watch him .Well done Vikas!

Race for Life 2012– A big Thank You
It was girls’ day out in Windsor on 17 June. Girls of all ages — from little ones to grannies were out there - clad in pink and brimming
with enthusiasm. I completed my first ever 5k run with all these lovely ladies. I did it in around 40 minutes, combining running, walking and jogging. After my lousy training, I am happy that I managed the run.
Thank you very much to all of you for your support and encouragement. Special thanks to all my generous sponsors who helped me raise £110 for Cancer Research UK.
Hearty Congratulations to all the gorgeous gals who participated and raised money for this noble cause. You were all amazing!

Mr. Poirot
Both me and my husband are big fans of ITV’s Poirot series which dramatizes Agatha Christie’s Poirot novels. So it was a pleasant surprise when we met the Poirot actor David Suchet in a small cafe in Bath. He was really nice and kindly allowed me to photograph him. Here is to a fabulous actor who has brought to life my favourite fictional character, Mr.Hercule Poirot.
